Engine-EarZ Experiment return to Maida Vale for the second time this year to perform some new material.

This time by the invitation of Mistajam and BBC 1xtra.

First ever live dubstep session recorded for the BBC at Maida Vale studio’s on the 4/4/09 Engine-EarZ Experiment Live Featuring Jenna G, Nathan Flutebox Lee, Shahid Khan and Foreign Beggars.

Bio:

Engine-EarZ Experiment are a UK based live dubstep collective formed in 2009 bymulti-instrumentalist/DJ/producer Prashant Mistry

.Often described as ‘Massive Attack for the Dubstep generation;’ the band have already won over an assorted army of fans from Rusko and Nitin Sawhney right through to Liam Howlett and Mike Skinner.
Engine-Earz Experiment are famed as dubstep’s first fully live act and consist of five core musicians; Prashant Mistry (Synths/Electronics), Data (MC), Jade Browne (Vox/Guitars), James Billinge (Drums) and Kabir Kainth (Percussion) plus full live visuals from VJ Splatty. On occasion other collaborators such as Lena Cullen, Jenna G and Get Cape Wear Cape Fly amongst others have also featured on tours and events including two BBC Maida Vale sessions in under a year! The sessions really opened up the band to their world become a big Youtube favourite notable also for appearances from hiphop/grime superstars Foreign Beggars.

‘Kaliyuga // Introspector’; the limited edition vinyl sold out and the release entered the top ten dubstep charts on sites such as Juno Download and Beatport. Later in the year, a busy summer festival season was crowned by an exclusive free download release on Diplo’s Mad Decent – ‘Gimme Some’ by Engine-Earz Experiment vs DJ Kayper to big club and critical support. Early 2011 saw the specialist release of yet another underground club smash ‘They Live’ which was featured on UKF and many other dubstep compilations, quickly followed by the single “Reach You” featuring Lena Cullen with remixes by Chasing Shadows, Black Noise and Benny Page.

The track gained daytime and specialist radio play around the world and in the UK including a ‘Future Anthem’ spin on Zane Lowe’s show with collective youtube views of the track nearing the million mark.
